On sunday it was Father's day, so Danni and I made breakfast for Glen. We made fried eggs, potato fritters/ hash brown thingies, bacon, and some crumpits. After that we went to Tahwiti Museum. It was a really neat place that had a lot of information on things that happened in New Zealand. There was a train ride that showed how people made a living in the brush, cutting down trees and things. On the way back the conductor started talking about if a boiler blew up it would kill us and then an "explosion" happened right by my head. A stream of really loud air hit me in the face and I started to cry, but I was laughing at the same time.
In the muesum I was so afraid things were going to pop out at me, it had a bunch of human looking figures and it scared me.
We also went on a little boat ride that depicted the Maori wars against each other.
Hope you're all over your cold by now! Maria used to always get sick at the beginning of the school year. I don't know how she avoids it now with all those little 7-year-olds snuffling and sneezing and coughing!
ReplyDeleteI never liked interactive things where the possibility existed of someone popping out at you or doing something unexpected. That's one reason I've never been to a haunted house!
You must be a good cook! The breakfast sounded yummy (and roast chicken)!
